PG13 language should be allowed on the servers for a PG13 rated game. End of story.
That's not the point, although you could be right. THQ wants to get the typical cena kiddies to enjoy it, face it. Many of those restrictions are probably only there for the kiddies.

With WWE's current product and THQ's lack of balls, this makes me fear what next year's game could be like? They'll probably get rid of all weapons, blood and there will be no heels in the game or beatdowns in cutscenes.

Infact, instead of wrestling moves everyone will just hug (but not too closely, 'cause you know, hugging is basically vertical sex )

Let's hope TNA have a better game coming out next year.

yeah, good luck with that one. The censor is a lot to get around, but I can get around it. There are just some words you have to avoid, though I don't know why because is on that list. Still, I plan to work on my masterpiece tonight and have it available for download in the next day or so (assuming I can get a code for a gold trial soon).

The censor is lame, but I can deal with it.

If I am not mistaken, and recall correctly, THQ merely acquired the studio that worked on TNA Impact (the video game) and/or members of its staff. The TNA video game license was not included. Plans for said license seem to be a mystery at the moment.

Let's hope Linda McMahon loses the Senate race before it comes to that.

This year's game has definitely been toned down, albeit more subtly than the TV product. The gender restrictions are the most glaring example, but the 2x4 stashed under the ring no longer has barbed wire on it, and certain "suggestive" moves like the Grapefruit Claw and the Hip Wash are noticeably shorter than last year. There may be other examples, but I can't think of them at the moment.

Oh, yeah, and unlike the TV product, you can keep the midget from showing up at all.

Yes but TNA are TNA and WWE are WWE. The former is less likely to put restrictions and whatnot on their game.

Here is the one thing you are missing, the game may be T for teen, but online is rated E. Due to people lying about their age, there is no way to restrict the people who will be seeing the content, and they are required to treat it that way. This means we are out of luck.

Before anything that a company creates for online/dlc, they MUST be rated and approved by a company before they can put it online. In this case, there is no such system, they filter the words and the community is suppose to govern the content.

Warner bros. bought Midway, THQ only bought one of the remaining companies that were not included in the sale. The rights to the TNA game did NOT go with the sale of that company. The TNA game is still up in the air with no takers. Alot of that has to do with the fact that the Midway agreement they made with TNA gave TNA all the profit, with no help required. So far, no one wants to take on that responsability.

Re: Want to know who handles the online censoring in Smackdown vs raw 2010

I found a Great Hayabusa caw last night for download, and I went to rate and comment on it...

I worte; "awesome caw Sir"

And I got the message that the comment contained a "banned/foul word" and that it couldn't be approved until I changed it..

I had to change it to; "Awesome caw"

So it seems that SIR is also a banned word...

Go figure...
