Oh yeah, I remember that Snarf thing now. Watching an episode of Thundercats or any of those old school cartoons nowadays would be a right mindfuck.

To be fair, watching some current cartoons is a bit of a mindfuck. Spongebob Squarepants being a prime example.
Maybe you should stick to the news and University Challenge then.
One of my favourite gags comes from spongebob, actually. When he sees the seahorse for the first time and it's cutting between it and him looking amazed, and one time it cuts to spongebob with a moustache. Just for the sheer ridiculousness of it.
