Pendulum - "Self vs Self" (feat. In Flames)

I think this would make a really good theme. I've recently become a pretty big fan of Pendulum lately, probably one of my top 5 artists now. There isn't anything from them that I don't like so far.

I've heard that song a few times on my Metal Music Choice channel on my TV over the last several weeks. I'm a big fan of In Flames and really enjoy the song. I'll have to check out Pendulum, not too familiar with them. But i do love the song though.

Shinedown is one of those groups that have good intros and good choruses, but the rest of the song I could ignore... like Downstrait.

Shinedown is great at telling stories in their music...the chorus is always the meaning of the song, while the verses are the story leading to that meaning. I've seen them live 5 times, Brent Smith (lead singer) is a VERY deep person, he'll always go into a deep explanation of what the next song means, and where the band got the idea of writing it from.

This is what makes them my favorite band, I can say that they're really the only band that I have liked EVERY single song they've made...that's not an easy thing to do.

So since this is all about Shinedown, we'll go with something a bit older...my favorite song from them. This song really shows that Brent Smith is one of the best vocalists in music today.

Not totally sold on the new Shinedown song yet. I've seen em 3 times, and they are my 2nd or 3rd favorite band, but i can honestly say i dont like all their songs. Really wish they'd go back to the Leave a Whisper days, when the songs were a bit darker. Favorite song will always be Stranger Inside, but i have to say, i think his voice on Call Me might be some of his best work.

This band I've seen as the openers for the last 3 Shinedown shows I went to. During those three shows I witnessed the birth of a great band that started as a no name local band out of Pennsylvania, that got invited by Brent Smith to tour with them, to signing with their very first record label, to finally releasing their first album. They haven't quite reached mainstream fame yet...but I fully support these guys and recommend them to anyone.

I saw Halestorm open up for Chevelle a few years back, and i have to say, that chick can sing. When she came out and did the "Its not you" opening with just her voice for about 2 minutes or so, i was blown away....not to mention the kick ass drum circle they did.

Currently listening to the new Hurt song alot. New album drops in March i believe, can't wait to pick it up.
