Hooters has opted to no longer carry WWE PPVs of as this past weekend's New Year's Revolution PPV. The decision was made on a corporate level. PWInsider.com reader Andrew Pearson sent the following story of his attempt to watch the PPV on Sunday: "We live down in Savannah, GA and we are all broke so we always go to Hooters to see the free PPVs. We went tonight though and they told us that the contract with WWE was up and that they weren't going to play it. So not only did our group of eight leave without getting anything we saw another huge group leaving because of them not showing the PPV. Seems like it is a bad deal for WWE and Hooters both to not show them to me since so many people came in each month to watch the show there."

Comment I know people like hakushi won't like this news as I know he watches PPVs there every month. Me, on the other hand, I usually go to a local restaurant that plays it on the big screen.

I'm not sure what you mean. Is hooters a chain company?

Sky sports 3 shows free ppv's. But not all of them. But NYR was free.

Ppvs cost what, 30 bucks? They get that in one dinner's worth of orders.

I'm pretty sure the 30 bucks is only for private people, not establishments like Hooters.

Yeah, Hooters has to pay WWE a contract to play the PPV.

Hooters has to weigh that against the number of customers who come to see the show, the amount of food they order, and what customers are turned away by the WWE PPV and/or the crowd it attracts.

Apparently, with WWE's product in the shits, the bad side of this equation won, and Hooters decided it wasn't worth the money. Oh well.
